The company was registered in 1985 under the name Halliday Catering Services, a Thames Valley company owned by Linda Halliday. Firstly, BaxterSmith was created and then in 2000 Alastair Storey and Keith Wilson started Wilson Storey, with a vision to provide fresh, local food to blue chip customers and to be renowned for the quality of their training and entrepreneurial spirit. Wilson Storey then merged with Halliday Catering Services, and in 2001 they bought Houston & Church, which gave the enlarged business a presence in the important London market. Moving to 2004, Wilson Storey Halliday acquired BaxterSmith and BaxterStorey was born.
